Because it’s been way too long since you’ve heard me rant about politics…
All you Christians (and all spiritually-inclined people for that matter) with your “I stand with Israel” flags and profile pics – I hate to break it to you, but you’re doing it wrong. You think Jesus would have picked sides? I’m pretty sure he taught turning the other cheek. What kind of ripple effect could it have had on the world if Israel didn’t retaliate? Can we live in a world where a terrorist attack happens but we just turn the other cheek like our spiritual teacher tells us and then we don’t have to take anymore innocent lives? How is killing thousands of innocent Palestinians doing anything to Hamas? If you were calling for the death of all the Muslims after 9-11 and you stand with Israel now, great job. You’ve fallen for the psy-op once again. Same tactics – different country and different time.
Not to mention how apparently a lot of the world needs a history lesson on the occupation of Palestine and the open-air prison that Gaza is. Or they need to trace the dollar and figure out how Hamas got their weapons.
And of course the US is the only one to vote against a ceasefire. Of course! That’s the perfect move to make us look like idiots to the world once again. I just hope it doesn’t get us invaded.
It’s all a clown show, and I’m sorry, but if you can’t see the blatant corruption with our government, the Israeli government, and most governments throughout the world, you are part of the problem.
So many more innocent humans would still be alive if Israel turned the other cheek and just let shit go. If y’all can gather up the terrorists and retaliate against them specifically, awesome. But when retaliation leads to innocent lives lost, it’s not something a single spiritual teacher would support, so those of you who say you are spiritually inclined but support this retaliation, you should probably sit this one out and go pray and meditate for a bit to fix your heart.
Can we just stop with celebrating war? Please? Just stop. Can we please, as a human race, evolve past this shit already? You won’t be so supportive of retaliation when it’s us the world is retaliating against. And if we keep doing things to piss off the rest of the world, it’s only a matter of time before we find bombs and tanks in our own backyard.
And if you think this is anti-Semitic, you can stop reading now if you’d like. Jews are fine. They are not targeted any more than any other sect of society. Jews are saying their very existence is being threatened. Well, so is the existence of most brown people, as well as women, and hell, everything is the white man’s fault, so we may as well kill them all off. Oh wait, they’re doing that themselves by having the second-highest suicide rate in the country, only second to Native American men because we know how our government has treated them…
Can we just acknowledge that we have all been prejudiced against at one point and that no one sect of society is free from ridicule or hate from other sects of society? So rather than play the game of “Who’s More Oppressed?” maybe we should all join together and take a big look at who is doing the oppressing. All we have to do is stand up, and their game is over. That’s why I don’t participate in it. I don’t watch their news or believe their stories. I don’t get their shots or vote for their scum. I don’t distract myself with their poisonous “entertainment” or consume anything the mainstream tries to feed me on a regular basis.
This is a situation where “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” doesn’t work. If you can’t beat them, separate yourself from society, disengage with the clown show, grow some plants, pet some animals, and focus on creating the life you want to see for yourself and your family. That’s the only way we create any real change.
