Yay for free time to update!!

So, last night was the very first Souls Harbour show.  It went quite well.  We had our ups and downs, but I think it was pretty good for our very first show.  I’ve now come to the conclusion that I want to quit school, focus on music 24-7 and become a rock star!!  (Don’t worry Mom, I’m just playing.  Yes, I will get my education first.)  But yeah, I can’t even describe how awesome it felt to be up on stage last night.  I felt so comfortable.  The only time I was really nervous was when I played “Desperate Cry.”  I’m still not to comfortable playing my guitar in front of people.  But you give me a mic and a song with some great harmony, I’m at home.    It just felt so good, I guess that all I can say.  There were tons of great moments last night.  “2:15 to Denver” and “So” were both awesome.  I could actually go on and on about great moments.  We had our share of bad moments to.  Some due to technical difficulties, others due to not enough practice.  It was still good in the end, though.  We had to cut out a few songs towards the end due to lack of time.  All around, I think it was a good show.  I’m currently trying to schedule another show.  It’ll be back home in Sullivan at The Gathering Place, so if you didn’t get a chance to come last night, there will be plenty more chances, hopefully.

The night was fun all around.  The fam and Dawn came early and we all went out to eat at Chili’s.  The band had to cut out early to go get set up and what not.  The show started a little after 8.  We played till 9:30 or so and then had a little break then played till 11.  My awesome roommate showed up in the middle of the first set wearing the very first Souls Harbour shirt.  She made it herself, it was awesome!  I love you, Jen!  After the show, we all went out to Steak n Shake for some post-concert eats.  It was a great night and I want to thank everyone who came out to support us last night.  We’ve got some awesome friends.  We really appreciate all of you guys.

Well, I’m off to the CSF Mexican Fiesta.  Yay for Mexican food!
